27 Member states of European Union Aid to Pakistan – $90 Million (about 18 cents per capita)
China Aid to Pakistan (note China says Pakistan is their closest ally) – $0 ($0 per capita)
Canada Aid to Pakistan – $33 Million (about $1 per capita)

I don’t think this is good news at all. Canadians work hard for the money they earn. The government taxes people to pay for the services that are necessary. This is just another example of the lack of respect for taxpayers. If I give your money away and take credit for it am I being charitable?
I would encourage people to give their own money to the charity of their choice but government does it by forcefully taking money from citizens it is just not the same.

That list is a good start, but I’d like to see what other countries, particularly Muslim countries are contributing.
What has Saudi Arabia chipped in? UAE? Iran? Libya?
I think a full accounting of the contributions from all countries would be an interesting exercise.

Canada should not be giving a dime to a country with a nuclear weapons program. If Pakistan actually needs the money they have a serious problem with their priorities.
