I saw this story and had to share. At first I was so amused by it and then once I found it this guy is a fan of Jerry Garcia, he garnered a bit of respect from me.
Let me introduce you to Bezow Doo Doo Dopitty-Bop Bop Bop.
You either pay attention or pay through the nose. I would rather pay attention.

I told you all before. Three generations of Papadreou’s (George, Andreas and George) have RUINED the country my parents emigrated from. I am ecstatic this day is come and somewhere in heaven, my conservative father is smiling!!
Maybe now Greece can start to regain some pride.
A 20-something female died late Saturday afternoon of what authorities are calling a “medical emergency” after she stopped breathing in a tent at the Occupy Vancouver site.
The woman, whom Occupy participants were calling “Ashley” was found unresponsive by Occupy’s medical team around 4:30 p.m. and was taken to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The death, following an overdose at the site Thursday, prompted Mayor Gregor Robertson to say there is an urgent need to shut down the site due to “life safety” issues.
Exhibit C. To the villainy-of-the-rich theme emanating from Washington, a child is born: Occupy Wall Street. Starbucks-sipping, Levi’s-clad, iPhone-clutching protesters denounce corporate America even as they weep for Steve Jobs, corporate titan, billionaire eight times over.
These indignant indolents saddled with their $50,000 student loans and English degrees have decided that their lack of gainful employment is rooted in the malice of the millionaires on whose homes they are now marching — to the applause of Democrats suffering acute Tea Party envy and now salivating at the energy these big-government anarchists will presumably give their cause.
Except that the real Tea Party actually had a program — less government, less regulation, less taxation, less debt. What’s the Occupy Wall Street program? Eat the rich.
The whole article is a must read by the smartest man in Washington, Charles Krauthammer
The rise of the Flea Party has been quick but is it real grassroots? Or is it Astroturf?
Soros and the protesters deny any connection. But Reuters did find indirect financial links between Soros and Adbusters, an anti-capitalist group in Canada which started the protests with an inventive marketing campaign aimed at sparking an Arab Spring type uprising against Wall Street. Moreover, Soros and the protesters share some ideological ground.
So what do you think? One of Barack Obama’s biggest supporters is George Soros, who is linked to the Tides Foundation. The Tides Foundation in turn backs so many smaller left wing organizations that are out there garnering support from and giving it to the Flea Party. In turn, the Flea Party is now protesting big Wall Street types. Did you know that George Soros makes all his money from running his massive hedge fund? i.e. he is a Wall Stree type.
Something smells fishy here.
This cartoon is EXACTLY why this site is named what it is.
Here are two simple ways Yellow Bellied McShifty is hitting me in the wallet.
My Enbridge bill showed up. This is for a low month where I used very little natural gas.
My HST on this bill was $25.27.
My Hydro bill showed up. This was for a two month period.
My HST on the electricity was $44.20
My HST on the Delivery, regulatory charges, etc. was $28.18
My Debt Retirement Charge was $30.00
Divide these by two (for a one month average) and you get $51.19
The total of my monthly HST and debt retirement charge is $76.46. The debt retirement charge was supposed to be all paid off in 2012. But McGuinty has extended it for SIX YEARS to 2018 as I have told you all before. He is RAPING our wallets.
Extrapolate to a 12 month year and the money that I will save if Hudak knocks that lying McGuinty out of office is $917.52. Tim Hudak and the PC Party has said they will eliminate the HST on electricity and natural gas bills as well as eliminate the debt retirement charge.
What could YOU do with an additional $900 in your wallet every year?
On October 6th, vote for Tim Hudak.
I disagreed with his politics. I cringed when he put on that smug smile. His left wing soundbites were like finger nails on the chalkboard to my ears. He reminded me of a used car salesman…or even worse, the guy from the Computer learning CD commercials who would say “Please try my products.” But he sure made politics interesting.
He carried the NDP to heights only he could take them to. His recent success helped to dismantle the Liberals by giving Canadians two choices. Conservative or NDP. Capitalist or Socialist. The creation of the great divide has served my chosen party well and, I believe, it will continue to moving forward so for that I am grateful to him.
He was a darn good adversary. If he fought cancer as hard as he fought for his political beliefs, he sure gave it his all. Cancer also took my father and one of my best friends way too early in their lives. My sympathies go out not only to Olivia and his family. But they go out to all members of the NDP as today is a day they are all in mourning. And even though I disagreed with his politics, his death has saddened me along with many other conservatives.
RIP Jack Layton. I hope CTV doesn’t mind me sharing a clip that I put up on my blog a few years ago. The lighter side of the man. Hopefully he has his guitar with him in heaven.
Today while listening to CFRA, I heard that the Humane Society is warning about the dangers of leaving pets in cars during the heat of summer. Great. No objection here.
They also said that they have received over 100 complaints so far of people leaving pets in cars this summer season. Wonderful. I am glad people are observant and willing to make a call to help save a family pet.
Then they said that anyone caught leaving their pet in a car with the heat going will be charged. And they even said fines can range from $500 to 2 years in jail.
The agency maintains that if a pet must be rescued from a locked, hot car, charges will be laid against the owner.
Penalties can range up to $500 and a maximum of two years in jail.
The operative word above is “will”. They WILL be charged. Pretty definitive word.
Everything seems hunky dorey to me.
But wait. Did we not just have a case in Ottawa of a couple who left their month old baby in the back seat of a car on a 30 degree Celsius day while they shopped in an air conditioned Home Depot for an hour? And did that couple NOT get charged?
Yup. This most certainly did happen.
Even though they could under the Criminal Code, Ottawa police, unbelievably, are not charging a couple with the stunningly irresponsible act of leaving their infant alone in a vehicle Saturday for almost an hour in a humid, sweltering temperature of 30C while they were shopping at an air-conditioned Home Depot.
How the hell could they not have known better?
Not that first-time parents is any excuse, but they aren’t. They have several children.
How the hell can they not be charged by the police, one of whom saw the infant in the vehicle, broke the window, after which the infant was rushed to hospital by paramedics, and — luckily — found to be in stable condition.
The 30C temperature was outside.
God knows what it was inside the closed-windows vehicle.
The child had no say in the matter.
It was only a month old.
A human being.
This is simply OfficiallyScrewed. This comparison of the way two similar situations are treated with the only difference being the animal is treated like a human and the human is treated like an animal. It sure says something about how “humane” our society really is.
In 2006, he called it “a sign of leadership failure”.
He said it was a “sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay it’s own bills.”
And finally, he voted against raising the debt ceiling in 2006 and did not even bother to vote in 2007 or 2008.
But now that he is POTUS, Barack Obama wants to raise the debt ceiling.
Talk about being OfficiallyScrewed!!!
