When ProudtobeCanadian embedded this clip on their site a couple of weeks ago, people cheered CTV newsman Dan Matheson for his hard hitting, non left wing, spins on the situation in Lebanon. A refreshing change from the typical socialist MSM.
Well Dan “The Man” Matheson has done it again. He bitchslaps Liberal MP Dan McTeague so hard in the clip below that McTeague goes from calling Matheson “Dan” to calling him “Mr. Matheson”.

Isn’t it a sad state of affairs when we can only occassionally see a reporter with an alternate point of view from the rest of the MSM. He must be a brave soul which is indeed a rare quality in Canada. You have to cheer Dan. We also need to mourn for the soviet state our media has evolved into.

There is a fine balance… and Matheson is pretty close to it.
If it were a CBC reporter, McTeague would not only have a free ride but would likely get a few “soft” questions to McTeague’s deliver look even more effective.
Matheson called McTeague on a couple of the more glaring inane remarks but McTeague still blathered a bucketful of nonsense designed to undercut Peter McKay in particular and the Conservatives in general.
If this was an exchange on Fox News and a pitbull like O’Reilly started pounding the questions to McTeague, there would be liberal tears running down McTeague’s face but we’re Canadians! We’re too polite for such spectacles… or are we? cry, moonbat, cry ahhhhh….

He must have been on a roll because later in the broadcast while talking to a gentlemen regarding Ontarios power usage, he came straight out and told the guy that numbers like 27 megaWatts don’t mean much to him and likely to most others so put it into terms people understand. He is just a straight shooter calling em like he sees ’em. I think it comes from his days of doing sportscasts where it’s pretty much black and white.

David, noted for the future. I will put the URL under each image with a direct hotlink. I appreciate the suggestion.
But if you can let me know what you see I would appreciate it. I view my pages in both IE and Mozilla Firefox and both show the YouTube video image that starts playing as soon as I click it. I think you may have something set up to block the embedded video because I haven’t had a problem from anyone else before.

Lovie, the format is .wmv which is pretty standard for almost any video player to display. I am not sure I can create .mp4 format. I will try but it might have to wait until next week. I am going to turn my computer off for a few days over the long weekend and try to get my mind off politics.
