In the English language debate, Jack Layton dealt a death blow to Michael Ignatieff by saying something to the effect of “If you want a promotion, you need to show up for work.”
How many of his new Quebec MPs didn’t campaign a single stitch? How many did not even show up in their riding during the election?
Unless they have $150,000 a year jobs now, many just got a promotion without showing up for work.
I’m just saying….
The real losers here are the constituents who will have poor representation by someone who does not understand the local issues. But they are also the ones who did the voting so it seems they are stuck with their own bad decisions.

Too funny – so the most sophisticated voters in Canada were punked by the “Smiling Jack Layton”. It was always about the $2 subsidy – Canada does not need this corruption and slease. Now Jacko Boy wants more time to train the “seals”. I think not – if you are not ready to be the Opposition, do the honourable think and fall on your shiatsu!!! You wanted this election, you got it. Cheers.

Oh, and here some thought post-election might be boring:
Jacques “The Crotch” Layton (or simply, Crotch Layton)
Thomas “UFO” Mulcair (as in, unidentified-flying-Osama)
Ruth Ellen “Vegas” Brousseau
This is gonna be a riot.

Well it is fantastic (and just desserts) that the NDP and Libs will both be in internal disarray for the next few years that hopefully Harper will have time to deliver things with little commentary. This will provide a fantastic base for the next turn @ the polls.

There goes the argument *We have to pay top $ to get the best people*. NOT!

Check out Angry NDP MP Libby Davies here on CPAC starting at 1:57:35, she says “Christ !” at the end.

What really burns me is that the N.D.P. candidate in our riding Pierrefonds-Dollard (West Island Montreal) didn’t even turn up for the only all candidates debate during the election. She works part-time and studies in Trois-Rivieres.
We worked for months on the ground. What a slap in the face. Total Harper derangement syndrome.

Our MP is Peter Stoffer. For some reason he is able to get elected without campaigning too. Maybe he taught classes to the parachute candidates in Quebec. Stoffer didn’t show up for the candidates’ debates, only canvassed in the most populated parts of a mostly rural riding, and provided only inane, bullet-form answers for his candidate bio in the local paper. Like I care that he’s a Dylan fan!!
It gives me hope that Adam Mimnagh cut his support by more than half over the last election. I hope Adam steps forward again in 2015!
