Why haven’t we seen the Liberal HYPOCRICY shown on CBC & CTV, 4 times an hour ,all day long, as BREAKING NEWS? Will there be any journalists reporting the findings? Maybe all their jobs are done now? The goal was to blacken the CPC’s good name…mission accomplished maybe? I guess thats why they are moving onto their new DOOM & GLOOM stories.

Let’s all write CTV and the CBC and ask how come this news is not on every 15 minutes like they liked to report the original news story on the liberal raid at P.C. Headquarters!. Let’s put the pressure on and demand this news be told…. Pierre Poilievre made mince meet out of Dominic yesterday in the house, and Mike Duffy last night thought that was what the liberals were going to demand answers in the house yesterday….. Guess we will not hear much about that any more….

The Block used their opposition day, for confidence in Elections canada. 152 – 117 with the Conservatives being voted out. Good thing they didn’t investigate the other 3 parties with their CAMERAS .Spent the day listening to the opposition smearing the Conservatives. I see Don Newman only carried the VOTE but not the debate. Now he has his left wing experts on … We all know what happens there. Wish the Conservatives had National TV stations to fight their case, like the opposition. The smearing and inuendoes and redoric is so beyond HATE, I am beside myself for words. This is so unbelieavably one sided it is SICKENING. Why are our TAXPAYERS dollars PAYING for this ? All I can do is shake my head.

The hypocrisy of the Fiberals knows no bounds. We knew that the media were on their side, but Elections Canada playing the same one-sided game? Shame.

Pierre Poilivre is a snivelling weasel. I was a conservative voter up untill a couple of weeks ago, i am still a member of the party but there is no chance that they will be getting my vote and it is all because of Pierre.

Pierre is a coast to coast joke. When he spoke up against sex changes all the conservatives were supporting him, but no one (Especially Pierre) thought that this would allow the Liberals and NDP to bring other topics under provincial control to the Federal level. The Liberals can make the next election a referendum on Creationism and Abortion, all thanks to Pierre.

Bill c-10, also backed and defended by Pierre, is another example of this mans idiocy. The government has a right to set standards for morality in the country and to decide how taxpayer money is spent. If they want to cut off funding for certain types of films that is their right. However, to appease the 4.6 billion dollar film industries in Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal and Halifax the bill specifically excludes Americans. That means that movies where people are torn to pieces by Zombies, such as “Diary of the dead” and “World war Z” will still be shot in Toronto. They took a stand on Morality and then sold it out. The way the bill stands now, it takes money from Canadian filmmakers (like me) and gives it to Americans who come into my country to take my job to produce material that will offend Charles McVety. Who benifits from that?

I’m going to switch back to the Liberal party in the next election. I’m in Pierre’s riding and i worked on his election briefly last time going door to door canvassing.

And don’t try to pretend that the Conservatives are any more honest, remember the income trust scandal? Most of Calgary and bay street does. It’s inconcievable that the Conservatives can win this time around.

Call me cynical but let’s weigh this up:

    1- he says he’s a film maker (a right-wing film maker?)

2- he agrees the government as the right to set standards for how taxpayer money is spent on films (yeah, right!!)

3- he says he voted Conservative and is still a party member (uh-huh)

4- he says he’s going back to the Liberals (key words ‘back to’)

5- he asserts Conservative aren’t any more honest than Liberals (main theme of Liberal talking points for past two years)

6- he blathers about income trusts (secondary theme of Liberal talking points since decision was made)

7- he heaps personal insults on Pierre Poilievre and misspells his name despite claiming to have worked on his campaign (uh-huh)

8- he says the Conservatives will lose the next election (bingo!)

Based on these points, I would say Bill is a former supporter of “Big Paulie” Martin who believes the only way for his beloved Liberals to maintain any seats outside of Toronto is to spread lies and discontent throughout the blogosphere. I suspect Bill would willingly crawl over half a mile of broken glass to reach a ballot box where he would use his own “Liberal Red” blood to mark the ballot.

    Trolleriffic!!

    Not even close, Mac.

    1) Most of the conservative voters in the last election were former Liberals. The person running against Pierre is a former Conservative. The fact that i am a filmmaker doesn’t mean i am right or left. Like most people i have a wide variety of issues that i am concerned with. To put it another way, are you saying that Mel Gibson is left wing because he is a film maker?

    2) The government does have the right to determine how federal tax money is spent. That’s a no brainer.

    3) Want to see a photocopy of my party membership card? It expires in December.

    4) Yes, back to. You see the Liberals had the majority till the corruption scandal. That means that most of the people who voted conservative voted Liberal last time.

    5) The conservatives are not honest. They have lied about a lot of things and it will come back to haunt them.

    6) Calgary, the conservative stronghold, is also blathering about them because they are still fuming over the decision to tax them. Hopefully the Liberals will have sense enough to reverse this decision once they get in power (and they will).

    7) I did work for the vile little elf in his campaign, yes, and you misspelled “has” in point two.

    8) Yes they will. As a conservative, what would you say to an extremely disgruntled conservative to regain my vote? Pierre won by a very slim margin in both elections he’s been in. He will need to do a lot better to win this time round.

    Bill (posts #6 and #8)

I’m tending to agree with Mac (post #7) on this one because if you knew anything about the last election you would know that Pierre won with a huge plurality. Nepean-Carleton is one of the bluest ridings east of Alberta and if you want your MP to be Liberal, you might as well move to a new riding.

    2006 Election Results for Nepean-Carleton

    Pierre Poilievre CON 39512 54.97% X
    Michael Gaffney LIB 20111 27.98%
    Laurel Gibbons NDP 8274 11.51%
    Lori Gadzala GRN 3976 5.53%

Yes it is true that Pierre did win by 27 percent or so last election, that was a mistake on my part. However, he only won by 10 percent the first time which isn’t a convincing lead.

In any case, there are several people in Nepean Carleton, myself included, who want him gone. He totally betrayed me.

Seriously, does bill C-10 make any sense to anyone out there? If it does, explain it to me.

    1) Take a look around you, Bill. How many right-wing film makers are there? Just because Mel Gibson is a social conservative, that doesn’t automatically make him right-wing… and he is but one of hundreds of film makers.

    2) Easy to say, Bill. A true right wing position says the government has no just cause to spend taxpayer dollars on the film industry whatsoever. Somehow, I doubt you would find that position very satisfactory.

    3) Ever heard of PhotoShop? I could make a membership card too!! Whose name would you like me to put on it?

    4) Sorry to break it to you, Bill, but the majority did NOT vote Liberal. Chretien had three consecutive majority governments, yet his Liberals never got above 42% of the popular vote… and that was long before AdScam came to light.

    5) Back to the Liberal talking points, are we? Easy to say, Bill… not so easy to prove. Even the MSM, who despise PMSH with a passion which verges on holy, admit he’s a straight shooter.

    6) Being in government means making tough decisions. The Liberals promised to kill the GST, to dump NAFTA and many other things. Funny how you’re not outraged about that! At this point in time, there’s over $40 million unaccounted for from AdScam but you’re going to vote for the Liberals. It’s very hard for me to take someone seriously who supports that kind of corruption.

    7) I dropped one letter in a common word in a sentence. You misspelled the uncommon name of the person who you were slagging. Bit of a different matter, wouldn’t you say?

    8) The Liberals won’t win. You’re disgruntled but not a conservative. As Mulder demonstrated, you were wrong about Pierre’s margin of victory.

If I’m wrong about you, I’m sorry. It wouldn’t be the first time or the last I was wrong. The fact you replied, both to Mulder and I, puts you one step up in my regard.

You asked what I would say to a disgruntled conservative. Here’s what I will say to you:

Take stock of what the Conservative Party has done in the brief time they’ve been in government. Step back from the vitriolic bile being spewed by the Opposition in their desperation to gain power. Push aside the rhetoric of the Parliamentary Press Gallery. Take a look and what they’ve done while in the numerically weakest minority in Canadian history.

They’re “getting it done” like the Liberals never did… and the pendulum is finally starting to swing back after being pulled hard to the left for so very long.

After over 12 years of Liberal government, the Senate, the Supreme Court and every bureaucratic position stacked with Liberal appointees and yet the Conservatives have managed to effect truly positive change in Ottawa. You might not like each and every decision they make (which is natural) but you are in the minority. Every poll consistently reports that Canadians trust PMSH and feel he’s the best party leader for the job. Instead of catering to special interests, they’re paying down the debt. Instead of corporate welfare, they’re serving up tax cuts. Instead of meaningless rhetoric and empty promises, they’re taking action!

I don’t agree with everything the Conservatives have done but I realize they’re the only party whose platform isn’t a pathway to socialism… and that’s enough to earn my vote.
