Ontario Liberals Redefine Hypocrisy In Opening Of Smoking Lounges

The Ontario Liberal government has decided that government owned casinos are no longer considered public places because the Niagara Falls Casino and the Windsor Casino will be opening smoking zones.

Today, Ontario Health Minister Jim Watson defended the announcement by saying that the ban on restaurants and bars is different because they serve food but that the primary reason for a casino is not to serve food.

This plan comes on the heels of the drop in business at the Windsor casino after the Detroit casino opened up a smoking area.

In related news, Legion’s are still smoke free zones which means the Provincial Liberals, headed by Dalton McShifty, are giving more rights to gamblers than to veterans who fought to create a free Canada.

I guess the dollar is almighty to the Ontario Liberal government and public businesses just don’t get a level playing field.

OfficiallyScrewed … again.

Old people in nursing homes are similarly screwed as are charity bingo halls. But McGuinty doesn’t care about them.

Would it be legal to open up a smoking lounge in Ontario, with the primary purpose not being food, gambling, or even alcohol, but smoking?

I think the answer to the above should show ‘so called’ Health Ministers defense of smoking in casinos for what it is, BS.

Dalton McGuinty has hit a new low, even for a Liberal, sacrificing whatever morals and ethics he had, all in the name of the almighty dollar, on the backs of taxpaying businessmen, senior citizens, veterans and charities.

Jim Watson is almost as bad a sycophant as Ramal (hey, nobody brown-noses like that guy). He’s also a class A idiot.

McGuinty and his minions are the most unfit MPPs to ever sit in the House, let alone run the province.

The arrogance is stunning and almost leaves me speechless. Failure after failure, taxpayer ripoff after ripoff and they keep patting themselves on the back for a job well done.

My nightmare is that anyone in his cabinet gets re-elected. Even worse is the thought that the voters, who pay no attention to what is going on, re-elect the Liberals in Ontario.

If that happens, I’m seriously considering moving. It’s too painful to watch this province go down the drain.

Does that mean that tobacconists, cigar lounges and private clubs that had to ban smoking can allow it now? And does this mean that cigar lounges that had to shut down will be compensated for their losses?
