In the last Liberal race they had 10 candidates, nine with very impressive resumes and one with a very thin resume and that was the one they choose. He won due to his surname, not policies. The Liberals should have chosen Marc Garneau as he might have not brought about the huge initial bounce in the polls but at least he would be quite appealing to many tired of the Tories but don’t want radical change or someone too inexperienced.

I agree, and have been saying so on every blog and website that will allow my comments. I recently posted basically your statement above,on a CBC site and couldn’t find it the next day.

I guess they censor people who don’t toe the Party line. But,on many blogs,I am now hearing from disgruntled liberals who are finally starting to see just how unqualified Trudeau is for the job. I expect many Liberals to go NDP in October, and probably a few of the Free Enterprise type might go CPC.

It would be extremely satisfying to me personally if the voters reject Trudeau,as the cynicism displayed by the LPC in annointing him Party Leader is unprecedented in Canadian politics.

The Liberal Party is obsolete today, we are a Nation polarized to a Left or Roght political stance, and there is really no place left in our scheme for a Party that claims to be centrist, but is actually just socialist-lite.
