Being the owner of a Hyundai, I was quite surprised to find out that about a week ago the company (and it’s Kia subsidiary) announced that they had been overstating mileage claims on many vehicles manufactured between 2011 and 2013.
They will be reimbursing people who purchased specific models but there is also a class action lawsuit filed against them. I supposed this is to make sure they reimburse consumers appropriately.
I would encourage anyone who purchased one of the affected vehicles to join the suit.

Fred, how wrong you are. Businesses should not be allowed to succeed based on false claims to their customers and not be expected to a) compensate customers not receiving the promised claim or b) be forced to at least make legitimate claims.

interesting. this is the first i have heard of this. i have a 2013 elantra and it is supposed to be getting better mileage than my 2007 and it is not.

I ask the same question as the other David. I have a 2007 Sonata sport , I am very happy with the car but the mileage sucks. What can we do?
