The NDP could learn a lot from the graciousness of the Afghan leader. He has far more respect for our military than the NDP does. And it isn’t because military communications people laid down a few words on a piece of paper to help him get his message across. It’s because they laid down their lives to give his people an opportunity to have a life.
I don’t know if it can be said any clearer than that.

Wow. That hit me like a shovel – because I think it’s true.
I find I’ve been inclined to vote NDP for the last 3 elections (2 federal, one prov by-election) because of the local candidate, combined with a strong dislike of the Liberal candidates. This is a 2-way race riding.
Each time I’ve voted for those local candidates I like, I always think, “Ugh, this is a vote for Layton/Hampton,” and I just hate it.
We should be able to vote for local rep and for PM/Premier, in my view. But that’s just me.
Anyway, poor showing on her part. Like Hampton, she was a poor leader. Why can’t there be an Ed Broadbent again???
