First she said she would be on her reduced caloric intake diet until the Prime Minister would meet with her.
He agreed to meet her and all the other band chiefs on January 11th.
Then she said she will not end her reduced caloric intake diet unless something concrete comes of Friday’s meeting.
Today it is learned that she has said she will not attend unless the Governor-General meets with her.
At this point, if I were the PM, I would back out. It is obvious nothing is going to sate this women’s appetite.

After the scathing audit was made public, she scrambled to find an excuse to avoid the meeting. The GG provided her with one when his office announced he wouldn’t attend.

“… if I were the PM, I would back out …”
I don’t think the PM agreed to meet with the AFN solely because of Chief Spence’s ludicrous demands, so why should he back out? During the Q & A after a Jan. 4 announcement at the Ford plant in Oshawa, the PM said (check the video here http://www.cpac.ca/eng/videos/82818) he had spoken with Chief Shawn Atleo in November 2012 about future working meetings ahead, so this Jan 11 meeting may be one of those.
Of course, the rising tide of IdleNoMore protests and blockades may have played into the PM’s decision to meet with the AFN and rightly so, especially because sore loser Pam Palmater seems intent on supplanting Chief Atleo as head of the AFN, achieving what she couldn’t do in the July 2012 election. The PM’s meeting with the AFN reinforces the legitimacy of the AFN as spokespersons for aboriginals, which the IdleNoMore movement appears to be challenging.
Anyway, according to some reports, Chief Spence seems to have punted herself out of the meeting because the GG will not be there. Good. One less drama queen …

Dave B: I agree completely with your assessment. She’s now in danger of holding a very hot potato and will do anything she can to avoid having that hot potato placed in her hands. Moving goalposts is just the start I’ll bed.

C’mon,Theresa, demand Harry and Kate show up,too! You can bask in their reflected glory for a while before you go back to business as usual in Attawapiskat.
Maybe you and Clayton should take a month or so in Hawaii to recuperate from the hunger strike and to regain your strength and the 6 ounces of fat you lost.
C’mon,Theresa, go ahead, we’ll pay for it. We always DO.
