Lance “My” Armstrong”er With Steroids” Fading From History

I visited the official Tour de France website and searched for “Armstrong” and only one article came up and his name was in a sideline quote, not the main point.

Then I went to Wikipedia to look at the winners of the tour through history and saw this. (Note: The gap from 1999 to 2006 is pretty glaring.)

 No Lance

Pick your heroes wisely.

At several sites where I’ve seen this story, the new morality has been on sad display, several comments that he’s been banned and paid the price, now move along.

Armstrong must be one of the most vicious psychopaths to ever participate in a major sport. He has sued and crushed with the weight of his celebrity anybody who dared question his purity.

He was THE icon of motivational speakers.I attended a seminar where the story of Armstrong was related as a shining example of what can be achieved with belief, and at the end of the seminar, commemorative “Armstrong” ribbons were handed out to each participant.

The head speaker at the event spoke of Lance like one of the young Liberal females currently does about Justin Trudeau,in a mixture of admiration, awe, and lust.

And it was all for nothing, the guy was a total phony,a con artist of the worst kind.

Heroes? There are no heroes on the entertainment stage, just narcissists and egotists fighting for the limelight, and being paid a King’s ransom for it.

The real heroes exist among us quietly and no one notices them until they retire or die on the job.
